Mistakes (A Love Letter to Being Human)

Over the course of my life, I've made mistakes big and small (although my brain has always processed them all as ENORMOUS).

Writing these posts has been no exception. I sometimes go back and read one and discover a tense shift or an extra word. Do I go back and quietly fix it so some future editor might believe I sprang fully formed from the grammar gods? Reader, I do not.

Here's my philosophy: perfection is suspicious. If every word on this site were flawless, you might wonder whether a real person wrote it at all. So, when you stumble across a typo or a sentence that took a weird left turn, consider it a little wink from me—proof that an actual human is on the other end of this, coffee in hand, doing her best.

And honestly? Some of my biggest ‘mistakes’ have led me directly to the beautiful life I’m now leading. But that's a story for another posh.
